Jamaica Disaster Relief 2008

Hurricane Gustav has reportedly left millions of dollars in damages, and claimed several lives in our homeland Jamaica. Jamaica Impact, Inc. (JAMPACT), in partnership with the Jamaican Northeast Diaspora Advisory Board, and several other community groups have formed a coalition to create awareness and raise funds to mitigate the damages sustained by Gustav. This collaborative effort will streamline disaster relief activities here in the Diaspora by ensuring efficient garnering and utilization of our limited resources. The coalition is collaborating with The Office of Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management(ODPEM), and other relevant authorities in Jamaica to assist with the disaster relief and recovery.

Once again, our country has been devastated by the impact of a natural disaster and is challenged by the obstacles of limited resources. We need your assistance for a speedy recovery!
