CHILDREN OF JAMAICA OUTREACH
(COJO) HAITI BENEFIT RAFFLE DRAW AND CHECK
PRESENTATION
WHAT:
The New York based Jamaican charity, Children of Jamaica
Outreach (COJO) Inc. will select the winners from its
special raffle to benefit children in Haiti. While
Haiti is not the focus of our effort, COJO reached out
to its Caribbean neighbors in response to the recent
earthquake which devastated that country. The
organization received support from Sandals and
SuperClubs which provided Jamaican vacation packages
with JetBlue Airways providing roundtrip airline
tickets. Following the drawing, COJO will make a check
presentation to Neges Foundation with proceeds from the
benefit
raffle.
WHO:
COJO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in New York,
whose mission is to help improve the health, education
and general well being of underprivileged
children. Beneficiary: NEGES
Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
which believes that social and humanitarian values are
essential in developing a community's awareness.
Co-founded by Marie Yoleine Gateau and James E. Philemy,
the foundation has accomplished many projects in the
town of Léogâne.
The purpose of the foundation is
to foster all aspects of community development and
provide allowances for educational needs and
environmental
