CHILDREN OF JAMAICA OUTREACH (COJO) HAITI BENEFIT RAFFLE DRAW AND CHECK PRESENTATION

WHAT:            The New York based Jamaican charity, Children of Jamaica Outreach (COJO) Inc. will select the winners from its special raffle to benefit children in Haiti.  While Haiti is not the focus of our effort, COJO reached out to its Caribbean neighbors in response to the recent earthquake which devastated that country. The organization received support from Sandals and SuperClubs which provided Jamaican vacation packages with JetBlue Airways providing roundtrip airline tickets. Following the drawing, COJO will make a check presentation to Neges Foundation with proceeds from the benefit raffle.

WHO:              COJO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in New York, whose mission is to help improve the health, education and general well being of underprivileged children.

Beneficiary: NEGES Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which believes that social and humanitarian values are essential in developing a community's awareness.  Co-founded by Marie Yoleine Gateau and James E. Philemy, the foundation has accomplished many projects in the town of Logne.

The purpose of the foundation is to foster all aspects of community development and provide allowances for educational needs and environmental preservation.
