Kamar Samuels has been an enthusiastic ambassador of JAMPACT and its mission for the past eight years. He has served the organization in various capacities including as President in the 2005-2006 administrative year. He has also served as Vice-President and as co-chair of the Think Tank, Membership and Education Committees. Kamar understands the organization and has been an integral part of its growth and success.
Kamar brings to JAMPACT years of corporate and public service experience. He is a former Finance Manager of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and prior to that was a Financial Analyst with Darcy Advertising. Presently, Kamar is a Teacher with the New York City Department of Education. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College, CUNY and a Master’s of Science degree in Childhood Education.
As President of JAMPACT, Kamar will endeavor to lead an organization that is proactive, relevant and visionary. He credits the organization with giving him the opportunity to serve Jamaica, make a difference in people’s lives and hone leadership skills, all of which have had a tremendous impact on his life. Angella Golding has been a member of JAMPACT since 2004. She has served as secretary for Jampact during the administrative year 2004/2005. She is currently a Special Education Teacher who holds two Masters Degrees: International Business and Elementary Education/Special Education.
Ms. Golding has served in similar organizations and capacities such as the West Indies Social Club in Ft. Lauderdale (as Secretary), and as the New Member Liaison Officer for Jaycees in Jamaica. She is currently a member of the Kingston College Old Boys Association (KCOBA) here in NY (She is a former Business Education teacher at Kingston College).
Other professional experiences include Assistant Purchasing Manager/Trainer and Sales Supervisor (International Markets). Angella Golding is also associate editor for a local community newspaper.

Ian Forrest is a communicator.
With over 10 years in radio both here in the US and in his native Jamaica, he has been using his skills and talents to communicate a conviction of the Caribbean and its Diaspora’s viability as communities worthy of inclusion in all the major conversations affecting the world and its peoples.
As Founder/Host of the monthly held Caribbean Dialogue Series at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Grand Army Plaza location (NY, USA), for 2 years and some 21 programs, he consistently placed items on the agenda, clearly demonstrating the foregoing, a conviction which is made further manifest in the programming he produces on WBAI FM 99.5 where he is Producer of the long running "Labbrish" with Habte Selassie.
As one concerned with youth development, Forrest is also doing his bit to positively influence members of the next generation through his involvement as a substitute teacher in the Public Education System in NYC, where he works as well in one of the city’s top After-School Programs, teaching Language Arts in the South Bronx.
Diana Cassells is a political scientist and university lecturer who has been actively serving in JAMPACT for 8 years. Her expertise is in the area of international relations and diplomacy. She has conducted extensive research on the intellectual history of the United Nations, Caribbean and Latin American foreign policy, domestic, intermestic and diaspora issues, and has presented her findings at numerous conferences and workshops internationally and in the United States. She is a frequent media commentator on Jamaican issues and has also served as the inaugural policy director for the Jamaica Diaspora Northeast United States Initiative..

While in high school Diane became involved in the Leo Club, an arm of the Lion’s Club aimed at involving young people in community service. Thus she developed her passion for volunteerism at a young age.
She completed a BA in psychology at Brooklyn College, City University of New York and moved back to Jamaica to gain professional experience. Diane has more than nine years of experience in human resources management in both for- and not-for-profit organizations. She began her career with the Jamaica Broilers Group Limited, where she was first human resources officer and later promoted to human resources administrator. She currently works with the Rockefeller Foundation as Staffing Administrator where she has overall responsibility for the foundation’s employment and staffing programs. In May 2007 she completed an MS in Human Resources Management at the New School University in New York City.
Diane became a member of JAMPACT in 2003 and has held the positions of Fundraising co-Chair, Membership Chair and is now very excited to take on the role of Education Chair.
Camille T. Barrett has been passionately affiliated with JAMPACT for almost five years, holding several key executive positions, including that of president (2003-2004). She remains very active within the community by working and volunteering on specific projects for various for profit and non-profit organizations connected to Jamaica.
Presently, Ms. Barrett is the Community Relations Manager of a well known non-profit organization in Queens, where she continues to immerse herself in community service, by assisting Queens’ residents in creating, promoting and organizing groups to become a recognized 501(C)3 non profit organization.
In 2001, Camille earned her Masters degree in Management from Polytechnic University, and her Bachelors degree in Creative Writing from Florida Sate University in 1998. While pursuing her Creative Writing degree at Florida State, Camille became the avid volunteer which she remains today. She is especially concerned with the mentoring of youth, eradicating illiteracy and homelessness. Wayne Melbourne has been a member of JAMPACT since 2001 and of its executive board since February, 2002. During his time on the executive board he has served, consistently as the chairperson of the Constitution and Election committee and of its predecessor committee. In that capacity, he has been responsible for initially overhauling JAMPACT’s constitution and subsequently administering and interpreting its provisions on issues of leadership and corporate governance.
He is also responsible for administering the annual elections of JAMPACT and, in general, representing JAMPACT on all legal issues which arise from time to time, including handling all of its contract negotiations and drafting. He is a corporate-finance and securities attorney by training and has practiced for over 10 years at various wall-street law firms and investment banks including Morgan Stanley, where he is currently employed. He is a graduate of Fordham University, where he received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science in 1993 and a graduate of New York Law School where he received a J.D. cum laude in 1996. He is admitted as a practicing attorney in the states of New York and New Jersey.
