June 11, 2003 - JAMPACT Think Tank/Conference Committee launches 2003 Panel Discussion Series with
"Engaging the Jamaican Diaspora"
featuring Senator The Honourable Delano Franklyn

The aim of the conference committee is to stimulate debate about the economic, social and political future of Jamaica. JAMPACT has held 3 conferences to date to:

  • Encourage strategic thinking, discussion and debate on social, economic and community development in Jamaica
  • Discuss ways in which both businesses and community leaders can work together to improve life in Jamaica
  • Develop concrete strategies and "next steps" that can be communicated to specific individuals, corporations and the Jamaican Government; and where possible, acted on by JAMPACT and other community organizations
  • Discuss additional ways that overseas Jamaicans can make a tangible contribution to the country's social and economic development
We welcome your participation as someone with an interest in the welfare and development of Jamaica.
