Award Purpose: Recognize
individuals who exemplify JAMPACT’s mission of service and contribution to
JAMPACT Heroes of the
Diaspora Awards
In the spirit of Nanny and Marcus
Garvey, for members of the Caribbean
Diaspora who have excelled in the arts, sciences, humanities, civil service or
public policy.
For young persons whose contributions to
the Jamaican community have indicated their potential to become leaders in our
society. This is open to individuals from the broader community who are not
JAMPACT members as well as JAMPACT members past and present.
JAMPACT Visionary Award
For a current or past JAMPACT member who
exemplifies leadership and service to JAMPACT.
For a current or past JAMPACT member who
exemplifies community service and commitment to youth.
To nominate an individual*: Please email jampact2000@yahoo.com, with the e-mail
Subject Title: “JAMPACT Award Nomination”. In your email, list the nominee’s
name and current affiliation, the award for which the nomination is being made
and briefly describe the reason that you think this person is deserving of this
award. Individuals may be nominated for more than one award.

Decisions:
-Wednesday, October 29: the list of nominees will be posted on the web
site and delivered via email to JAMPACT members
-November 4
Award recipients will be announced at the
5th Anniversary Fundraiser Celebration on Friday, November 14, 2003.

organization. As such, we do not endorse any political party. Official
representatives and leaders of political parties and their subsidiary or
affiliate organizations are not eligible for these awards. JAMPACT reserves the
right to defer the award(s) if we do not receive nominations that satisfy our
criteria.
